Why We Built This Site
Colorado makes many justice records available, yet custody remains divided. PCSO holds Sheriff reports and booking material. Pitkin Combined Court keeps filed charges and dispositions. CBI maintains statewide criminal-history data, while corrections and registry records have their own systems. This resource brings the official contacts, search routes, fees, and request steps into a clear local framework.
What You Will Find Here
- Record guides: how criminal court case records are found and read in Pitkin County
- Official check routes: how CBI name and fingerprint products differ
- Agency contacts: where to reach PCSO, the courts, and Colorado systems
- Record relief: how Colorado sealing works and where a petition belongs
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not part of a Colorado court, police department, sheriff’s office, or state agency. Its role has firm limits:
- We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
- We cannot file expungement petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing office, such as PCSO, a court, or CBI, can provide an official criminal record. We identify the route, but the document must come from its custodian.
Search Partners
Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When you use one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge or what shows up in their results.
